Amaretto
Italian liqueur made from apricot kernels; has an almond taste.
 
Angostura bitter
A well-known bitter made from herb essence, roots and bark.
 
Apple aquavit
A clear aquavit with apple flavor made from corn and potatoes.
 
Bacardi
A white rum, aged in oak vats.
 
Baileys
A liqueur made of cream, Irish whisky and alcohol.
 
Bourbon
American whisky made from a minimum of 51 percent corn and aged in oak vats for at least two years.
 
Cointreau
French liqueur with an orange flavor.
 
Crème de Cacao
A liqueur made from cocoa beans and vanilla. Can be found in both light and dark liqueur.
 
Crème de Cassis
A blueberry liqueur.
 
Curacao
Named after a Caribbean island from which it originates. The most common is clear and white but can also be found in orange, red, blue and green.
 
Frangelico
An Italian hazelnut flavored liqueur.
 
Ginger beer
Ginger beer is found with or without alcohol.
 
Grenadine
A red non-alcoholic syrup used to add color to sweet drinks and desserts.
 
Ice Magic
Chocolate sauce.
 
Kahlua
A cognac with a coffee flavor.
 
Coconut Cream
The first press of the coconut meat. Can be purchased in tins.
 
Coconut Syrup
A mixture of sugar, water and coconut flavoring.
 
Limoncello
Italian lemon liqueur.
 
Malibu
A rum-based coconut liqueur.
 
Midori
Green Japanese liqueur made from honey melon.
 
Palm sugar
A dark brown sugar made from the coconut palm. Also known as gula jawa, gula melaka or jaggery.
 
Tabasco Sauce
Strong liquid seasoning made from vinegar, red pepper and salt.
 
Tequila
A clear alcohol made from fresh and aged agava juice, distilled twice.
 
Triple Sec
Strong, clear white liqueur with an orange flavor. Similar to Curacao.
 
Vermouth
A dessert wine with herb flavoring. Available in dry and sweet (Bianco or Rosso).
 
Worcestershire sauce
Thin, dark brown, strong and herb flavored sauce.
